[A meagre Yield. Scattered Evidence for medieval domestic Animal Keeping from Holtum-Geest]
Abstract
Despite the bad preservation conditions in the sandy soil of the moraine region a few scattered bones of cattle and pig have been preserved at the medieval site of Holtum-Geest. In respect of the rarity of organic finds from moraine settlements these can be regarded as important isolated evidence.
